My sonata seized going up Floyd hill with only 70k miles on it. I got it towed to Planet Hyundai and that’s where my fiancé and I met Dave. Dave is the greatest guy to work with, I have had all types of vehicles my life from low to high end and expected an average experience with Hyundai. I expected to have to hassle over the warranty with them because I’ve had to in the past. Looking at you Mercedes, Jeep and Land Rover. Dave literally took my keys and handed me the keys to a really nice loaner and said he would let me know the next day what the diagnostic said. This is the point where above named car companies try to wiggle out of doing it under warranty. Next day however Dave calls and says it’s all covered under warranty, no charge at all and there were a couple recalls on it that they will fix at no charge as well. I was ready to have to argue about getting it done under warranty but there was no need. The engine took almost two months to get in due to Hyundai’s backup but it was a painless two months because Dave made sure we had loaner cars the whole time at no cost to us. He called to give us updates and if we ever needed anything he was just a phone call away and more than willing to help. We just got the car back today and it runs like brand new. Thanks to everyone over at Planet Hyundai for making this by far the least stressful car fix experience in my life!
From the point I arrived at the service station I was helped and directed to where I needed to go. I didn’t have to wait to drop my car and understand what was happening with my car. Only thing I’d say is that when asked the amount of time it’d take for the work to be done they gave me a much longer time frame then what actually happened. Only reason I bring this up is that I drove all the way home just to get a text 10 minutes later, after being home, that my car was ready. So very efficient work, but I would’ve liked a better estimate on time so I didn’t spend so much time driving back and forth and would’ve just stayed at the shop. Great customer service and politeness. All around a great spot, one of the better dealerships I’ve been to.
